Adventure Elopement

Love is wild. Take yours outside.

Experience an Adventure Elopement

New York City elopement

So the traditional wedding scene isn’t for you. You’d rather...

—Get married surrounded by stunning landscapes instead of family drama.

—Have a day that’s all about what you want instead of trying to please guests.

—Spend time and money on capturing a once-in-a-lifetime experience than catering.

Your marriage is only about the two of you. Choosing an adventure elopement means your wedding can be too.

(Stunning photos of you two looking like the hot stuff you are can’t hurt either.)

Say your wedding was the best day of your life and mean it.

Ditch the dinner guests for a hike up to a secluded mountain top.

Dance the night away surrounded by painted desert cliffs.

Take a million moments to yourselves on an isolated island shore.

Start your marriage with the best day ever.

Sometimes, when you take the path less traveled, you need a guide...

And as your adventure elopement photographer, I do more than snap surreal photos as you say “I do.” I also help...

  • Scout the perfect location.

  • Secure the proper permits.

  • Suggest local vendors.

  • Snag picture-perfect lodging.

  • Support your big vision.

While it’s nothing like a traditional wedding, an elopement still takes a lot of planning.

(Going against the grain isn’t always easy, but the result is worth it. Plus, it looks so much cooler.)

My goal is to make the process simple. I want you to feel guided, informed, and uplifted every step of the way.

After all, an adventure elopement is supposed to be less stressful for you, right?

Bucket List: Iceland | Utah | alaska | Zion | Costa Rica | Italy

We had the most amazing experience with Ashley! She was kind and professional. It was like talking to an old friend! We received our photos back in a very timely manner, and they are absolutely gorgeous! My hubs and I were secretly eloping. She was very understanding when we asked her not to give sneak peaks of the vow pictures until we told our families! I would highly recommend Ashley!!

Before you book your ticket...

Your biggest elopement questions: answered.

 1. How do we choose where to elope?

Whether you want to get married in a location with significance in your relationship or a bucket-list destination, here are a few questions for when you’re feeling stuck:

  • How important is privacy? This could determine whether you choose a national park, where there could be other people around or a more secluded mountain top for your intimate ceremony.

  • What do you want the scenery to look like in photos? Depending on where you are in the country, the season will determine your backdrop. Do you want autumnal colors or vivid greens? Snow or sandy beaches?

  • How much do you want to do on that day? Do you want a day full of activities like hiking to a scenic lookout for the vow exchange? Or a more relaxed experience, complete with brunch before driving out to the desert?

Ultimately, ask yourself how you want to feel on that day. An adventure elopement is about creating an experience perfectly tailored to you and your soulmate.

2. Do we have to get legally married on the elopement day?

Nope. As a matter of fact, it’s common for couples to leave the legal stuff for a separate day. You can get legally married before or after you choose to elope. It doesn’t matter when you sign the papers- your elopement day is the day you make your lifelong promise.

Each state has its own marriage laws, so the specifics regarding officiants and witnesses will vary based on where you want to get married. You could even get legally married in your home state before or after eloping.

Don’t stress over the logistics. I’m here to help you create a personalized plan that works for you and your future spouse.

3. What does an elopement look like?

However you want it to look. Seriously. That’s the beauty of an elopement- there’s no rulebook. You can elope in front of 20 of your closest friends and family members in an intimate ceremony nestled in nature. Or you could take a “just us” approach to the occasion and spend the day basking in the breathtaking scenery.  Either way, the focus should be on you as a couple and nothing else.

Whatever choice you make, you can trust that your photos will be a genuine reflection of your beautiful partnership. (Golden hour doesn’t hurt either.)
