The ARP Wedding Experience

Laura+Maurice-21.jpg

Your experience is everything.

Photographers all say the same things about why we want to capture your wedding day.

We’re all your biggest fans. We all want to tell your love story through timeless images. We all want you to experience the magic of your wedding day over and over. And we all mean it.

If you’re in the middle of the wedding photographer search, you’ve probably already seen it today. So I’ll skip all that (true) stuff.

Here’s what I’ll say instead:

You deserve to feel like you’re on top of the world on your wedding day. You should have photos to prove it. And you should have fun getting there too.

Your photos will remind you how you felt on your wedding day. My mission is to make that feeling your favorite memory.

The Process

01. Say Hello | 12+ Months Before “I Do”

First things first- we need to connect! I cherish the relationship I have with my couples, so we’ll hop on the phone to get to know each other and talk about my availability for your date. Then, I’ll help you choose the wedding collection that’s best for you and help you lay out a preliminary timeline.

02. Secure Your Date | 12+ Months Before “I Do”

Once we know we’re a perfect match, we’ll make things official. I’ll send you a customized booking proposal & contract to review and sign off on, then you’ll pay your retainer and we’ll be ready to roll! (And the real fun can begin.) Welcome to the #ARPTribe!

03. Get Your Guide | 10+ Months Before “I Do”

As an ARP Bride, you’ll receive a Welcome Package in the mail complete with my Wedding Guide. Inside, you’ll find everything you’d ever want to know about your engagement + wedding photography experience. (I’m talking about almost 100 pages of helpful information, guidance, and inspiration. Even location and outfit suggestions based on the season and your personal style!)

04. The Engagement Session | 4-7 Months Before “I Do”

Now we’re getting to the good stuff! As soon as you book, we’ll schedule your engagement session. I’ll tell you how to choose a location or help you scout one out! (You’ll find all this information and more in your Wedding Guide, but I’ll always walk you through it myself, too!)

The engagement session is all about you having fun and feeling comfortable in front of the camera! Even if you think you’re “awkward,” I’ll get you to pro-status by the 15-minute mark. Promise. Your online gallery will be ready for you to share with everyone you know 2 weeks after we shoot.

05. Customize Your Timeline | 2 Months Before “I Do”

We’ll be in touch consistently until your wedding day. (Trust me, I’ll never disappear on you.) Two months before the big day, we’ll perfect your timeline so it leaves the perfect amount of time for photos. I’ve been part of countless weddings, so I’ll happily help you organize a wedding day that keeps you sane and creates beautiful photo opportunities.

06. Bridal Portraits | 2 Months Before “I Do”

If you’re taking bridal portraits, the 2 month mark is a sweet spot. You’ve had the chance to get your dress and secure your hair and makeup team, but still have enough time to have prints made if you want to display them at the wedding. I recommend scheduling your bridal portrait session on the same day as your hair and makeup trial if possible!

07. Down To Details | 1 Month Before “I Do”

The month before your wedding, I’ll send you a questionnaire that asks for details that will make your big day go smoothly. (Things like a list of family members for post-ceremony portraits, information for your vendors, and important phone numbers.) This is also when we’ll nail down the details of your day-of timeline!

08. The Final Countdown | 1 Week Before “I Do”

One week before the big day, we’ll get on the phone one more time to finalize details so you can enjoy the days leading up to your wedding without stressing about photos, timelines, and unknowns. It’s all fun from here! I’ve got you taken care of, and I’m always available for questions, to help calm your nerves, or to listen if you need to vent.

09. Say “I Do”

IT’S TIME! All the hard work has been done, now it’s time for you to relax and let me take over. I know the timeline, who needs to be where, and what photos you’re dying to have. All you have to do is marry the love of your life. I’ll be there to capture every detail. (My personal favorite part is the bride & groom portrait session. Seeing you both soaking it all in, relaxing into one another, completely in love… wow.) Your wedding day goes by quickly, but your photos make it last forever.

10. The Preview Party | 6-8 Weeks After “I Do”

The celebration doesn’t stop after the sparkler exit. You and your family are invited to my house for a gallery-viewing party! We’ll pop some champagne, eat yummy snacks (I always have snacks), and soak in your photos on the big screen!

You’ll have the opportunity to peruse my print shop and create custom heirloom photo albums that will preserve the memory of your wedding day for generations to experience. All products purchased at your preview party are 20% off!

Pssst: Don’t worry- I won’t make you wait that long to see some sneaks. You can expect previews of your wedding photos within a few days.

We couldn't have been happier with Ashley as our wedding photographer! From day one, she was on top of things. She has a lot of experience with weddings, not just the photography aspect, and I think that helped so much in making our wedding day go as perfectly as possible. As a bride with zero knowledge regarding weddings, planning, timelines, etc, Ashley was there to help me throughout the entire process with suggestions and advice. She was responsive and checked in multiple times, especially as the wedding day got closer. She is also very sweet and fun to work with! I warned her that my husband and I would be awkward with poses, but our photos turned out AMAZING and we actually look very natural. We have had a TON of compliments on our wedding photos. You will not regret hiring her!!
